Our 3-day Career Coaching, Counselling and Assessment Course has been running continuously 16 years. It was developed as a practical course that shared much of the wisdom found in Jim's Masters Level courses in Vocational Psychology and Career Development.
GRADUATES - THIS COURSE COUNTS 25% TOWARD a CICA endorsed Grad Cert in Career Development at ACU.
Previously approved for 18.5 Australian Psychological society PD Hours under their old system and 15 hours CDAA PD
The course is taught entirely by Dr Jim Bright to small groups (typically around 10 - 15, maximum around 20). It provides a broad introduction to many of the key concepts and practices in Career Counselling, Career Coaching and Vocational Assessment. Participants receive a very generous pack of resources worth over $700 to accompany and support their learning including the following:
- a 300 page workbook containing a series of articles, papers and inventories, plus copies of the training slides and extensive references
- four career development books published by Jim Bright
- two complete Vocational Tests including question booklets, profile sheets and full manuals

Graduates who successfully complete the optional assignments will automatically get 10 credit points (1 complete subject, Career Assessment, Theory and Job Searching ECDC603 / EDSS612) towards the Graduate Certificate or Masters in Education (Careers Development) offered by ACU. Students enrolled at other universities have also successfully applied for RPL of 25% towards their PG Cert courses.
The CICA national standards regard a Graduate Certificate as the minimum qualification for recognition as a Professional Career Development Practitioner. The ACU course is CICA endorsed.

The course is priced below the level as each ACU Grad Cert Unit, but includes over $700 of resources in the price

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Cancellation: 1 calendar month or more before event (Training course) no cost. Between 1
calendar month and more than 11 business days (Mon - Fri) before event, 50% of the total fee for
the course is payable to Bright and Associates. 11 business days or less before the event, 100%
of the total fee for the course is payable to Bright and Associates. If Jim is unable to present the
course due to factors outside of his control (such as illness, injury, legal duties etc), Bright and
Associates will endeavour to provide as much notice as is possible and will reschedule the event
to a future date or refund any monies paid at its sole discretion). Payment indicates acceptance of
these terms and conditions.
